Get your creative juices flowing for the 16th annual Chalk It Up sidewalk chalk art event, SATURDAY, MAY 3rd, 8 am - 2 pm.
What is the 'Chalk It Up!' event? It's a free, family fun event where people of all ages (young and young at heart) have an opportunity to display their artistic skills with chalk on the sidewalks at the Rancho Bernardo community park by the swing sets and recreation center (18448 West Bernardo Drive).
The Rancho Bernardo Community Council supplies a bucket filled with chalk to each participant (or you can bring your own). The individuals may take as long as they deem necessary to express their artistic abilities. When they are done, they bring the bucket of chalk back to the registration table in exchange for something special.
1st through 3rd place in each age category will be contacted and awarded a prize. Age categories include: preschool, elementary school, middle school, high school, adults, seniors and one overall prize.
A special thank you to Casa de las Campanas for supplying the yummy cookies, and Albertsons Rancho Bernardo for the bottled water. See flyer for details: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PK9g3LWM0-RM7Fsw_hBEksRNZmNEYJf6/view
